Sharing the Gospel
The Gospel means “Good News.” It is the message of God’s love, our need for repentance, and the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. On this page, you’ll find three parts designed to help you understand and respond to that Good News:
Detailed Explanation – A clear outline of God’s plan of salvation, why sin separates us from Him, and how Jesus restores us through His death and resurrection.
Prayer of Response – A model prayer to help you personally repent, confess Jesus as Lord, and begin a genuine relationship with Him.
Tract Card – A simple, step-by-step guide using Scripture to explain the gospel in a way that’s easy to remember and share with others.
This is not about religion—it’s about a Savior who gave His life so you can be forgiven, restored, and made new.
The Gospel Message
God’s Holiness
God is utterly holy—completely separate from sin, pure, morally perfect, and righteous.
His holiness shows His transcendence (beyond human understanding) and His eternal self-existence as Creator and King of the universe.
No one can meet God’s standard of holiness.
📖 Habakkuk 1:13 (NIV) – “Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrongdoing.”
God’s Design for Humanity
Humanity was created in God’s image, set apart to reflect His character and live in fellowship with Him.
Genesis 1:26–27 (NIV) – “Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness…’ So, God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.”
The Problem – Sin
Sin = “missing the mark,” falling short of God’s perfect standard.
It is transgression and rebellion against divine authority.
Sin creates a “barrier” (or middle wall) that prevents fellowship with God.
Romans 3:23 (NIV) – “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Isaiah 59:2 (NIV) – “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.”The penalty is death—spiritual separation from God.
Romans 6:23 (NIV) – “For the wages of sin is death…”
God’s Requirement – A Sacrifice
Sin cannot be overlooked. Forgiveness requires the shedding of blood.
Hebrews 9:22 (NIV) “In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.”
God’s Solution – Jesus Christ
Jesus bore our sins on the cross, taking the guilt, punishment, and consequences of sin upon Himself.
1 Peter 2:24 (NIV) “He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; ‘by his wounds you have been healed.’”He endured the punishment that rightfully belonged to us.
His death and resurrection opened the way for us to be reconciled to God.
Our Response Should be – Faith in Christ
Accept Eternal life is a free gift from God.
Romans 6:23b (NIV) “but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”Salvation is received by confessing and believing in Jesus.
Romans 10:9–10 (NIV) “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
Prayer of Salvation (for the unsaved)
Dear Heavenly Father,
I know that I am a sinner, and I repent of my sins before You, the Holy God.
I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
I ask You to come into my heart and change my life.
I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God, and that You raised Him
from the dead on the third day with all power.
By faith, I receive Your gift of salvation.
Thank You for forgiving me, saving me, and giving me eternal life.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
