Devotional #3 - The Spirit Gives Life
2 Corinthians 3:17 (NIV)
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
Freedom from bondage means we’re no longer slaves to sin, fear, shame, or human effort.
Life without the Spirit of God is spiritual death. Men make rules, religion without truth, and human effort—but none of these can bring true freedom. Only the Spirit of God gives real life and liberty.
The Spirit of God is not an accessory to faith—He is essential. With Him, there is strength to endure, courage to stand firm, and peace that cannot be shaken.
The Holy Spirit is not simply “like God” — He is God. Father, Son, and Spirit are one. When you welcome His presence, you welcome the fullness of God into your daily walk. Why wouldn’t you?
Walking in the Spirit means experiencing true freedom—freedom only God can give. Run from the world. Do not feed your flesh. Invite the Holy Spirit into your life, and you won’t regret it.
Galatians 5:16 (NKJV)
“I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”
