I Shouldn’t Have
Have you ever sat down at the dinner table, only to get up later and say, “I shouldn’t have eaten that much,” feeling so miserable that it hurts?
Have you ever gone shopping at the mall, only to come home with buyer’s remorse—or worse, realize days later that you overdrew your account and now lack the funds to cover it?
Have you ever promised yourself, “I’ll never do that again,” yet days, weeks, or months later found yourself repeating the very same thing? And eventually, you feel like giving up, worn down by the struggle against what robs you of joy and burdens your spirit.
Have you ever had the desire to do good, yet continue to fall short?
Is “enough” ever truly enough when living by the world’s standards?
Where do you think true wisdom comes from?
According to James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
Likewise, Ephesians 5:15–16 reminds us: “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.”
